Alright so here’s the serious stuff.

When you start studying for a medical exam. You have to keep in mind the following.

  1. There are subjects to medicine.
Anatomy/Histology– learn the structure of whatever it is you’re studying.
Physiology– learn the normal function of what it is you’re studying.
Pathology- learn what could go wrong with whatever it is you’re studying.
Microbiology– Learn what pathogens can lead to things going wrong with whatever you’re studying.
Pharmacology– learn how the treatment and how to fix whatever is wrong.

  2. There is a way of studying smart.

The above list can be narrowed down to 3.
    Anatomy, Pathophysiology, and Pharmacology.

In other words, you can read and summarise and make sense of things.
Heres a formula= Understand>Memorise.
Understanding is more valuable than memorising.
Understand then memorise.
Understanding the content will make it easier to memorise.

3. Longer hours does not necessarily equal higher marks.

Stop lying to yourself. Sitting in the library for hours on end does not mean you’re understanding and memorising for hours on end. If you have not realised this already, the quicker you realise it the better. If you find yourself dozing off, don’t just sit there! Do SOMETHING.
