Familiarise yourself with the content

The whole idea behind studying for an exam or any form of assessment to evaluate your competency, is to ensure you are familiar with the content being assessed.

The more you’re familiar with the content the more you’re comfortable reading it, learning it, discussing it, teaching it and applying it.

It is very important to find the content that you will be familiar with. It’s even more important that this content is useful. You don’t want to familiarise yourself with useless content, that would be a recipe for failure.

Your first task when preparing for any assessment is finding out what is going to be assessed and how.

Your second task of finding out how much time you have left.

The third and most difficult task is making it a habit to study that content. Only then would you be familiar with it.

Read my next post on how to make it a habit to study.
